Five Arrested for Forging Documents to Secure Bail in Criminal Cases

Criminal Document Forgery Ring Busted

On Friday, authorities apprehended five individuals accused of running a racket that involved forging Aadhaar cards and land records to facilitate bail for criminal defendants. This information was confirmed by police officials.

Police Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy stated that the case came to light following the submission of fake documents in courts and government offices.

Acting on a complaint from the Central Crime Branch (CCB), the Urwa police initially detained Abdul Rahman (46), a resident of Bappanadu.

Following his interrogation, they arrested Nishant Kumar (28), who worked at a computer center in Kodiyalbel.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had manipulated Aadhaar cards by using their own photographs to impersonate legitimate individuals for bail applications.

The police also uncovered two additional cases linked to the Mangaluru North police station during their investigation. In one instance, Nitin Kumar (31) from Bantwal allegedly secured bail by posing as 'Ganesh Salyan,' while in another case, Hasan Riyaz (46) from Sajipa Munnoor obtained bail by impersonating 'A M Hamid.'

Additionally, authorities arrested Mohammad Hanif from Kavoor, who was reportedly acting as a broker and preparing fake documents for use in courts.
